I purchased the Onkyo TX-SR806 about 3 weeks ago and have been thrilled with it so far. I just read the review of the 805 by David Waratuke and was confused by one thing. If I undersand him correctly, he advised setting the receiver for 8 ohm speaker impedence regardless of the rating of the attached speakers. One of the reasons I bought the 806 was that it was certified for use with 4 ohm speakers. Therefore, when performing the manual setup I set it for 4 ohms. Was that a mistake? Will I get better sound by changing it to 8 ohms? I really don't know a lot about this and would appreciate some help. My speakers are Monster THX Select Certified Speaker System which are rated at 4 ohms.

keep it at 8ohm;) The 4 ohm switch acts like a governer on an enigne, and limits it current draw.
