Question on tri wire speaker cables

I just got a pair of Alon IV's that were barely used for short money. I had the foam surrounds redone and am very impressed with the sound quality compared to my Infinity cs-3008's. What I am curious about is that everone recommends tri wiring these speakers with Acarian Sytems Black Orpheus speaker cables. They are hard to find and pretty pricey. Just curious if I would see huge results over using my Monster bi wires 100 dollar set I bought back in the day. Power amp is an Acurus A250 and I am using a Rotel rsp-976 pre/pro for the pre amp until i find out what would sound good with this speaker and amp combo. Any suggestions on a 2 channel pre amp?
Any help would be appreciated

Those Orpheus speaker cables are just very expensive speaker cables with no special quality that warrants such prices, at least not on the sonic side of audio. Cannot speak to its art value;):D if it has one.

The monsters you already have will be more than enough. And, ig you want to play with tri-wiring, worthless endeavor, just buy some ordinary 14 ga speaker wire at Home Depot, mono price on line or such inexpensive wire.
Waste of good $$$ on more expensive wire than Home Depot or monoprice.

Stay away from those 'everyone who recommends' such expensive wires. They have great imaginations. ;):D

You will get different opinions from different places, but on this website people pretty much deal with numbers, and the numbers indicate that you already overpaid on your speaker wire, and spending more is up to you.

Good wire is good wire and as long as it carries the current as expected, you will hear the audio as intended. Copper 12-14 gauge wire, available at www.monoprice.com is ideal for pretty much any consumer grade speaker in the world.

Save your money. If you think you will get an improvement with something else, first try something really inexpensive and try for a blind test of the wires you already have and cheap wires to see if you even can tell a difference.
