Question on sub outs on Yamaha CX A-5200

Could use some help here. I own the Yamaha CX A5200 pre pro

I just bought 2 Rythmik FV 18's. Currently own 2 RBH SV 1212's

The RBH work best with XLR connects. The 1212PR I bought used and it has a nasty noise it makes with the RCA connection. The RBH Rack amp I have for the 1212NR is recommended to use XLR by the review here at audioholics

This room was pre built so I couldn't run piping and I owned 2 subs before I upgraded so I ran RCA cable for the subs through the front wall as XLR runs would have been very difficult to do.

Can I use a RCA splitter on one of the RCA sub outs for the Rythmik up front

And an XLR splitter on one of the XLR sub outs for the RBH in the back?

I am aware that a minidsp flex balanced is the long term solution but I don't want to mess with trying to run all the XLR cables at this time. It will be a huge pain

Any advice greatly appreciated

P.S. if I have this in the wrong forum section please let me know and I'll move it

Dan

I don't see why splitters wouldn't work. You tried multiple cables on the sub making the bad noise?

Hey thanks for the input. Yeah and it only does it when connected to RCA. XLR it works flawless. I bought it used and I suspect the RCA input on the sub is messed up. Because it's done it on different cables and I've had other subs on those RCA and they don't make that noise.

I'll just use the splitters and run the subs on different connects thanks Lovin!

Just checking since you didn't say plus you had the inwall thing going....ever talk to RBH about that?

Since the XLR input was working perfect and I bought it used after warranty I didn't worry about it.
