Question on Cross Over frequency

Hi,

I have a pair of new Kef FiveTwo serier speakers (100Hz to 30 Khz). It is virtual 5.1 system. I also have Denon AVR X1000 receiver with Audessey XT. After I did my setup using Audyssey, this is what it set as my crossovers

Front - 120 Hz
Center - 250 Hz
Surround - 250 Hz
LPF for for LFE - 120 Hz

Does this look right? Is the center and surround supposed to be this high? I am pretty new to this and am not sure how it should look like. Can someone please shed some light?

Thanks

How do they sound?

You can't hold these to the same rules as you would a true 5.1 speaker system.

These are two enclosures, using many tiny drivers, that by using psychoacoustic trickery are trying to take the place of five separate, better/properly placed individual speakers. They are essentially a two piece sound bar.

By looking at the specs of these oddities, one can see they have no bottom end to begin with. Naturally, the crossover will be high. Also, the reality of the matter is that you really don't have a center or surrounds so you really can't question the Audyssey setting too much on these.

Of course, you can always override Audyssey if you think you can do any better.

Thanks for your input. I will try to adjust it manually and see how it sounds.

Well, good luck, but you can't get blood out of a turnip. Your best bet would be to heed the advice given to you in this thread.

I am returning my polk subwoofer and I already ordered a Dayton 1200 sub. I am a little hesitant to go for the SVS because I live in a second floor apartment and there are people living downstairs, and I dont want to give them a hard time.
