Question on Adcom GTP-350 and advice

I am looking to swap out my NAD surround preamp (Which I picked up at a steal, hence why I have it!) for the matching Adcom GTP-350 preamp. I can turn a huge profit on the NAD by reselling it and give up some of the excess I don't need too (But I'm keeping it for now as future upgradability). The thing is, I need to know if the GTP-350 has a phono input. I thought it does but I read somewhere that it doesn't. This is of a fair amount of importance since I am unable to use my turntable with the NAD since it is missing a phono input and I would like to get a preamp that does or a phono preamp (No such luck finding one though).

Given I can probably get the GTP-350 for $60-75 in great shape and turn $200 profit +/- on the NAD what do you all think I should do?

I'll do some research on if that other unit has a phono input, but you can also get an external phono pre-amp. Just a thought.

The owner's manual for the GTP-350 is available in PDF format from Adcom at the link here. According to the owner's manual, that unit does not have a phono input.

Hmm, I was afraid of this. No idea why that is - I know where I can get ahold of a GTP-400 and it does have a phono input. I always thought Adcom had phono inputs on all their stuff. Where might I find a phono preamp? I have been looking and been unable to find one. I may just buy that and use it on my NAD.

I'm not that knowledgeable about phono preamps, but they aren't hard to find on the internet. For example, go to Amazon.com and search for "phono preamp", and there will be several different ones to look at.

Other members here have experience with them and could give better information than me.

Would this suit my needs without causing a great deal of audio quality loss?

A friend of mine said something about phono preamps being only $30 but I hadn't seen them anywhere - didn't think about trying Amazon. I did see an NAD Phono Preamp awhile back for $70 that looked nice and looked like it was meant to be part of your system you can actually see (Painted logo, feet, etc as opposed to what I linked to which is just a little box that goes behind the system).

I did see this unit which looks nicer but of course nearly double the price. What advantage (or is there one) of this over the cheaper one?

For a few more bucks you can get one with an output level control. Would it this be worth the extra $5 or are both overkill compared to the cheapo? I'm not particularly planning on putting these records on my PC, I just want to be able to play my turntable through my preamp which does not have a phono input.
