Question about Yamaha HTR 5740

Hi,

I have a Yamaha YHT-750 Home Theater System (HTR 5740 Receiver + 6 NS-AP2500 speakers + YST-SW030 subwoofer).

My question is:

Do you think this setup would last 2-3 hours of mostly continuous use at +10 volume? +5? -5? (I checked and the max is +16)

It turns out my neighborhood is having a kind of a block party and nobody planned for music. This is a very low key event --our neighborhood isn't large. I happen to have this setup above, with lots of extra speakers (bought extra speakers for a few dollars at some point) in case they blow. I tested it just now on the sidewalk in front of my house for about 10 minutes and the volume/coverage seemed ok for our needs. I worry about the speakers somewhat, but what I'm concerned about is the receiver overheating or the subwoofer going dead. If one or two speakers blow, I don't care much, as I have replacements; nobody is going to complain if I stop the music for a minute and replace a speaker. I'll probably be running a Spotify playlist off my phone using CD input, if that makes a difference.

I just don't have any experience running a receiver at such high volumes and for such length of time. Any tips are greatly welcome (from using 2 vs 4 or 6 speakers to extension cord gauge).

Note: Yes, I I understand I should probably be running party speakers on stands, but this is last minute and zero budget.

Hopefully, one of you has experience/knowledge about this so I can add party to the neighborhood party.

Thanks,

Calculus.-
