A noob question. I have an Elite VSX-53TX that was purchased summer of '04. At the time I wasn't worried about video upconversion or switching. Well, now I am. The specs say 40mhz component video freq response, and it does not upconvert. I read somewhere that to run a true HD signal I need 100mhz. Can I run my progressive DVD and Comcast HD DVR through this receiver via component and receive an HD signal? I am looking at the Panasonic TH-42PHD8UK 42" plasma.
