Question about upscaling with my Denon 2310?

Is the Anchor Bay VRS ABT-2010 in my Denon 2310 the same as the anchor bay chip in the oppo 83? Could i just let my reciever do the upscaling or am i better off having my Blu Ray player do the upscaling?

I plan on upgrading to a Samsung 55" LCD hopefully soon

For now the dvd player would be best. When you upgrade displays, and hopefully to a plasma, id let the display handle it.

Im pretty much set on going with an LCD
