My question is, what kind of cable is best suited for this? I dont see too many speaker wire options out there that are RCA to 1/4"/xlr that are for powered monitors. Most of the preamps I see have RCA outputs and powered monitors 1/4" and XLR.
I was thinking that from preamp to powered monitor would be more like a an interconnect since the monitor already has the connection from amp to speaker hardwired in. So, would it be more appropriate to use patch or interconnect cable rather than speaker cable?
I'm just a little confused because i did see that monster makes cable for powered monitors.
