hi everyone, this is my first post, first of all sorry bout my english but im from mexico so i dont speak very well i hope you can understand me thoug, mmm well my question is this, this morning i found a ht-ddw680 sony for a very very cheap price i think, $80ud give or take, i want to connect my 360 to get the most of the sound expirience i have an hdmi cable to connect the 360 to my 37" aoc lcd tv i also have the hd cables for the 360 so i can connect the optical cable but since i dont have one and i dont really want to buy it only if its strictly necesary i wanna know if i plug the hdmi to my lcd tv an the lcd digital coaxial output to the ht would i still be getting the best sound since this ht has no hdmi input only coaxial and optical and some rca etc.. but no hdmi, the tv has an option for the audio where it sais digital audio output, y can set it to raw, pcm and another thing i dont remember but since im not home i cant look right now, if i set it to raw can i get the best audio quality or should i go buy the toslink cable, i like the hdmi better since in my opinion the image is sharper than component cable, i hope you could understand me thanx in advance.

The has S/PDIF RCA digital output, but without reading the manual I can't answer your question. But when you get home just try to do it and hear for yourself ;)

I would prefer the optical cable from the Xbox to the receiver. This way you're sure that the signal is not being altered in any way by the TV and that your not getting some sound lag (due to processing). If you use your xbox to listen to music you can even turn the TV off and still be able to listen to it.
