i have a friend getting out of the hobby (even before going in) who has energy c3 speakers he wants to sell (new in box).

before i can help him sell them, i need to know if there's only one kind of C3 bookshelf speaker and that there are no v.1's or v.2's.

i know sheep is familiar with energy c series speakers.

how much should i sell them?

thanks!

Energy doesn't use V's to show an upgraded line. The first C series had even numbers, then it went to odd (I have C-1s, the C3 is the 6.5inch woofer version).

They never altered the C3 throughout it's production.

Here is a decent review of the Connoisseur C3's http://www.soundstage.com/revequip/energy_c3.htm

The C's were replaced by the RCs and either of them IMO are better then the current C's in production. As for Sheeps comments about a sucker, there is one born every minute;). An asking price of $150.00 is a decent starting point if they're in excellent shape.

Regards, Bill :)

Mike, my Brother in law had a set of these and I just got off the phone with him. He paid $325 new for them. Hope this helps.

I'd start @ $200. I've had these as my mains for almost 3 years. They have big sound.
