In my living room (1 1/2 yo daughter friendly) setup I have all budget polk, Monitor 60s, CS1, Monitor 30s, Dual PSW 505s Panasonic ST-50 3D plasma and the usual blu ray player and 360.
Anyhow, I purchased a 36" fluorescent "grow light" to place behind the TV. It serves it's purpose but is WAY too bright. I thought about wrapping 10" or so of the ends in blue cellophane. But what do you guys think? I used an LED strip but it was more for looks than anything. The blue looked awesome but it looked a bit like a 16 year old's car interior.
So any lighting recommendations.. ...
I just want some ambiance after my daughter goes bed and I don't want to traverse the stairs to the no kids allowed media room.
Lastly, I was wondering about the best bookshelf stands for my monitor 30's for the best price. It is December in Michigan, I won't be building them from scratch no matter how 'simple'.
Thank you!
