Question about an amp

[Damn Noise!]

Hey all, I've hooked up my amp but have a question about it.
Both my receiver and the amp have a volume knob and im finding it hard to control it as they both work with my remote. They are Yamaha's.
Sometimes one is up too high and other times the other is too low.
Any help here would be great. Thank you

Set the amp up to 50% and then put electrical tape over the IR Sensor on the amp. That should be a good starting point to further set the gains on your rec'r.
