I want to connect for a friend who wants to have his Sony sound bar and his Denon AVR-X3200 connected to just 2 speakers, connected to his M-series 65 inch Vizio TV, to have them operate concurrently.
Tried for two hours today but was able to get either just one or the other?????
Can it be done?

He wants it against my suggestion not to do it!

Probably can’t be done. Sound bars and AVRs are totally different and exclusive means for providing audio for video. You typically can’t “mix and match” them. If it can be done at all, the Denon will have to have an output that’s compatible with the Sony’s input.

now think about it the sony sound bar has this analog connection, the denon x3200 has pre out, multi channel stereo and poof...

edit:
ah yes, we are in fact ignoring the quality of the sound.
