I auditioned the 22L2's. I thought they totally rocked. Nice stage, good extension, revealing and detailed. Did I mention the chest thumping bass? These also are beautiful. Tons of sound in a short tower and piano gloss in all the different colors.
They retail for about $2000 but can be had lightly used for around a grand.
If I wasn't obvious enough, I LIKE THEM!
I haven't heard the rest of the system but I'm guessin it's nice.
Google them and check the 5/5 rating on that site where the buyers rate their purchases. Sorry but the name escapes me. One of you other guys...anybody?
Good luck and keep us informed. We'll need pics of whatever you buy.:D

Welp, I'll give you my differing opinion. I would buy something else for the money.

I actually listened to these after I located a Quad dealer with the high hopes of listening to their ESLs. As it is, no one carries those anymore; HT is king as of late.

So I specifically remembered that the 22Ls made the "best of '06" or was it '07, TAS list, and thought "why not, I'm here already".

The electronics were 100% Rotel. I also A/B compared, switching out the bananas myself, next to a pair of BW 7xx towers. Now, this is an unfair comparison going by price, and by no means did I think the 7xx were perfect, but the BWs left them in the dust on clarity alone.

I found the Quads to have a "warm" signature, unoffensive. Nice finish. Very short tower height could be an issue for a taller person who sits close to them. The dealer just thought they were too short, period.

JMO on my audition. OTOH, I've never once heard a Dali.

You know Jost, I actually agree with you on most points. If someone was gonna pay retail they could do better for $2000. As I said, I've seen them used for under $1000. There is even a pair on Agon now for under $700.
I've heard one of the B&W 7 models and liked them very much as well. It is a different beast though.

I was actually thinking of the 1k price point when I posted. Cheers.
