I was going though the specs of DLS W712 and it states that the subwoofer can reach from 20Hz to 1kHz.

Is this correct or simple wrong information?

Thanks in advance,
Dan.

That is a low Qts, high efficiency paper cone woofer. I'm sure it does get to 1 kHz i break up mode.

What is not correct is to advertize is as a subwoofer driver because it is not.

The Fs is 39.8 Hz, that effectively is the low end cut off point of the driver. In fact it will be above that. The driver will be lousy for sealed use as it starts to roll off at 106 Hz according to their site in a sealed enclosure. So it will be about 30 db down at 20 Hz which is no output.

The ported enclosure has an F3 of 40 Hz, and will be down 27 db at 20 Hz.

So that is NOT a subwoofer driver.
