I had the PW-2100 for the last 3 years. It was great. I could not complain about it. I loved it for movies. For music is was too boomby (muddy, rumbly, whatever you want to call it). It did not smoothly mate with my speakers. You always knew the sub was there. Know what I mean? You have to consider cost and size to performance. You get what you pay for.

I recently upgraded to something a little bigger. It's a perfect match. You don't think about the sub. The bass is smoothly integrated with the rest of the system. It works well for both applications (movies and music).

It's hard to explain these things without actually being there yourself. Even though I have a new sub, I am still keeping the PW-2100. It's a great performer.

Hsu Subs

Sorry, I've never listened to the PW-2100. But I have a Hsu VTF-3 HO Turbo, and the sub is great. I've taken it to the edge of its limits showing off to some collage kids, and I think EVERTHING shook! I told them, "Yeah, it's one 12".

The Hsu Research subs sound great while playing back music, watching TV, or watching a movie. I also have an MK MX-200, and an Infinity PS 12. The Hsu KILLS those other two subs.

As far as shipping is concerned, Hsu packs very well. I wouldn't worry about that.

Good Luck!
