Hello, I'm trying to put together a stereo system for my mom for Christmas.

I'm still very new to this and this is what I came up with so far. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like a fine system. You will need to use the turntable's internal preamp to use it, btw. so be sure to set that up correctly. I am assuming your mom has a tape collection, hence the cassette tape deck.

I would steer clear of cassette decks offering dual tape drives and stick with a single tape drive instead. More money will be put into better parts for a single drive unit than spilt across two drive units.

I found this for $50 used and it really works well.
