If you're running a subwoofer and 4 speakers (2 inside and 2 outside), the best setup is usually one
4-channel amp for the speakers and a separate
mono amp for the subwoofer. This gives you better power handling and control. You can also use a
5- or 6-channel amp to power everything from one unit, but dedicated amps tend to perform better for subs.
When you see a "2000-watt amp," that's usually the
peak rating, not continuous usage. The actual
RMS (real power) is much lower — maybe 600–1000W. If you're using a 12V system (like in a truck) with a 30A breaker, that's about 360 watts available continuously (12V × 30A). So you’ll need to be careful with power draw — consider a more efficient Class D amp, and possibly a second battery or upgraded alternator if you go big.
