well i am in a dilemma between speakers i work at a electronic store that carries
KEF Audio
Polk Audio
Soundstage
Onkyo
Harmon Kardon
i won some $750 worth of giftcards in a sales contest at work and am looking to buy speakers with it...you may think this is not much to buy an audio setup but remember i work there and also get an additional 20 percent below cost
anyways the 2 setups i am stuck on are either
Soundstage 3D5's with a BFX10 sub brand new for $498
or my coworker wants to sell me his
Dahlquist QX8ab(2) and QX6ab(2) speakers for around $650
now i know Dahlquist is renowned for its audio in the 70's and 80's but what about its speakers in 2000-2003? which are where they range from.
i am debating what i should go with he says the QX's will sound 10x what the soundstage are but i also know he just wants to get rid of them becuase he wants to build a new 7.1 setup
any word of advice would be great...should i maybe consider another brand...KEF?
also i am thinking an Onkyo TX-SR706 for the Dahlquist package? yes or no?
Thanks in advance
