Sorry for being all newb on this, but I really have tried everything I know, including searching the forums for answers. But this problem is just confusing to me as I am by no means even close to an AV expert.
So I bought a house recently and the previous homeowner left his projector (Panasonic PT-AE900U). The basement was already wired for surround sound and I found some speakers that he has left behind as well. So I thought all I really needed was a receiver and I'd be set.
So I purchased a receiver (Sony STRDH550). I should also mention that I have AT&T Uverse. Anyway, I hooked the speakers up to the receiver, I ran an HDMI from the projector to the receiver, ran another HDMI from the Uverse box to the receiver. I turned on the projector, turned on the Uverse and receiver, and got nothing. Actually at one point I could hear the sound of the Uverse through the speakers, I just wasn't getting a picture. But now I can't even recreate that scenario.
I have subsequently hooked up another tv to the receiver and got both audio and video. I've also hooked up a
Bluray player directly to the projector as well as hooked the Uverse directly to the projetor (both via HDMI) and got video (but understandably no audio).
Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if I left any pertinent details out that would help you help me. Thanks.
