Which of these 2 set-up would you recomend and why

PSB T55's, C40, S50 or B15's for the rears

Axiom M-60's, VP-150, QS-4's or 8's

Driven by a Pioneer Elite VSX-53TX Room is about 12.5 x 15.5 ft

Thanks for your help

PSB vs. Axiom

Both are great Canadian speaker manufacturers and you'd probably be happy with either setup.

One thing to note is the PSB T55's have an impedence of 4-6 ohm, making them a more difficult load for your receiver. They will probably require an external amp to be driven to their full potential. This might not be an issue if you do not listen at High SPLs for long periods of time.

The Axiom M60's, in contrast, are an 8 ohm load which will be no problem for your receiver. I would also suggest the QS8's with the Axiom setup as the the larger drivers will provide a better tonal match for the rest of the speakers.

I would say go axiom.

The Tower, as mentioned above, will be easier to drive, and has the same FR as the Psb's. The Axiom center will probably have a wider dispersion then the Psb aswell. If you and considering the b15's for the rears, the QS4 and 8 would do a better job creating surround effects, and have a big dispersion then the PSB.

My sig has my current setup and I have no problems driving the T55s with the Pioneer. I've never heard the Axioms, but I really love my current setup and I could blow my head off if I wanted to. The Pioneer will have no issues powering 6 ohm speakers...it's running 5 of them here.

I have an Axiom M22, VP100, QS8 set up and I have heard the PSB T55s at a local B&M. I have no problem with my Axioms, but I think the new PSBs are really nice. I considered the 5Ts a couple years ago, but I wasn't that impressed. The T55s appear to be quite an upgrade. I believe the PSBs are front ported vs Axioms rear ports. If space is an issue I would opt for the PSBs for that reason. Hmmm, if I could make the decision again, I might have waited. ;)

How can you recommend something on probably. That makes no sense to me at all.

They are both very good speaker systems and I've heard both. It all comes down to what you prefer in sound. The Axioms M60s lie on the brighter side of neutral, have a wide dispersion, and good tight bottom end. The PSB T55s are very revealing, but a lil on the mellow side of neutral . The bass is as deep and tight as the M60s. Midrange is equal on both But if imagiing and soundstage are important, then you can't beat the PSBs. Not for the money.
The center channels are quite close but I would give the nod to the Axioms as its a bigger speaker. To compare a dipole speaker with a monopole is like comapring apples and oranges. You need to compare the PSBs S10 ( I believe is the model #) to the QS4s of Axiom.

I own the smaller Image T45s and love em. I have a crappy little Technics receiver that has no problems driving them to insane volume levels.. They like T55s are 6 ohm speakers and are very innefficient.

Listen to both and make up your mind.Remember, you are listening to them with your ears no one elses

The dipoles 3db speaks of are the S50s. If and when I expand to a 7.1 system, I will get those. True, the PSBs are neutral and that is what I was really looking for after 10 years of Klipsch Synergys...nice speakers, but too bright for me. I've been able to listen to hours upon hours of Jazz, Rock and DVD movies without fatigue.

I vote for the Axioms

Notice my setup in the signature. I highly recommend the Axioms and without doubt can say that the Axioms will sound good. If they sound better than PBS or not is another issue completely. I cannot comment on that.
