Hello I'm trying to decide between the T45's or the 4T's ,also looking at the Paradigm monitor 7's Jm labs seem to get mixed reviews but I'm curious about them and finally what about the Monitor Audio line. My current speakers are Mirage 890i's Bipolar which one of these are at the same level of quailty as my current speakers. I know that all of the new choices are NOT Bipolar. :) thanks for your help.

the only ones i've heard out of the list are the Monitor 7's and i think they sound incredible, especially for the price. Great highs and good mid bass, can't comment on the others though

no need to rush into such a big purchase anyways, the more research and listening you do the happier you will be with your purchase and the enjoyment afterwards

Yes I just heard the 4T's and T55's and Paradigm Monitor 7's. I found the T55's to be the best so far but,I always read very good thing's about the Paradigm's I found the monitor 7's to have a muffled sound, maybe they where not broken in yet. What about Monitor Audio speaker's or JM Lab speaker's.

I've never heard the PSB's. I've heard the Monitor 5's; not the 7's. I thought that, for the price, the Monitor 5's were very nice sounding speakers. I've also heard the Monitor Audio Bronze B2's -- also very nice for their price. The JMLab Chorus series speakers, I felt, were a step up in sound quality from the other speakers you've mentioned. I auditioned the Chorus 707's and came close to buying them. I would assume that the general sounds of the bookshelves I've auditioned would translate well to their floorstanders.

i would also look at the studio reference version of the paradigms. they are much

much better sounding than the monitors. I would also look at axiom and rockets too. take your time and listen. but if you listen to the studios you will not buy the monitors trust me

There's little doubt that Paradigm's Reference Studio series is a pretty big leap in sound quality from the Monitor series but if one has to have a floorstander, you're lookin' at the Studio 60's at around $1350/pr -- and that's with a discount. If a bookshelf is acceptable, the 40's can be had for a little over $1000/pr. That's still way over the price of the one's you're now looking at. I have the Studio 20's. IMO at a shade under $700/pr, they are one of the best buys in speakerdom today. They're pretty robust for a speaker that size but you'll still need a sub for HT.

You should check out the Monitor Silver S6 or S8's. They sound great and I like them better than the Paradigm Monitor 7's, which I also like a lot. The Monitor Silvers have just been discontinued and you may be able to get a great deal on them. There have been several on eBay recently. They were replaced by the RS6 and RS8's.

Havne't heard the Montior Audios or JMLabs

but I did compare the Paradigm monitor7s over the the PSB ImageT45s and I found the PSBs a better speaker. The T45s imaged better than the monitor 7s, had deeper/tighter bass extension, the treble was more layed back..not as bright. and it revealed nuances in music better than the 7s. Thats why I have a pair at home now. Happy hunting

That Focal tweeter in the JM Labs SUCKS. Even in the top of the line Wilson speakers I can here that Focal tweeter breath.
