Psb sub conection question

In my subs manual it says "the recomended way for best results is to hook it up using Low/Line Level connections."I have a psb subsonic 6i sub hooked up to hk avr 630.Is this realy the best way and what are the benefits.I have it hooked up through the single LFE jack right now.
page 17 is how they show how to connect for low/line

Well as of right now I can't set it up this way cuase I'am not running a pre-amp.But if anyone would like to tell me the benefits,I'd be more than happy to listen/read.

Hi, Deezer. I'd just like to point to your original thread where Alex helped out with the connections. I'm just posting this so that others don't run off and look up all the connections without knowing what Alex has done already. There is still the question about the benefits of connecting them as shown on page 17.

EDIT: I just looked at the manual that you linked to. I honestly think that it's just showing on page 17 how to hook it up when you don't have a dedicated subwoofer output. I don't think that there are benefits to using the pre-amp outputs like shown on page 17 if you have a dedicated subwoofer output.
