I've been kicking around alot of speakers. I can buy another pair of B&W 302's for $200 from a friend, but was thinking of something different. I would use these speakers for my side rears. I've seen alot of PSB and B&W 600 & 601 for sale. But I'm not sure if I should use bookshelf or surround speakers for side surrounds. What ever speakers I go with will need to be placed on stands.

I would suggest you go with the 302s. The price sounds right and using identical speakers would make for seamless pans and provide timbre matching which is great for either home theatre or multi channel music. By surround speakers did you mean small bookshelves, satellites, or dipole/bipole speakers? If you are thinking dipole/bipole speakers I have a quick warning, they sound great with home theatre, but pretty crappy with music in my experience.

Personally I am a BIG PSB fan. My whole speaker system is PSB and I love it. I recently upgraded my rears to the same model as my fronts and the improvement was very noticable.

What I mean by surround was placing a pair of bookself(DM302 or DM600) on stands and using the for surrounds. Next question would their be a problem with running the 600 vs 302's?? If I go for the 600 or 601 series would they better for front (lefts/rights)? and then the 302's for surrounds? Thanks to everyone who has posted information.

PSB speakers are very good and speced well in the chambers of the NRC in Canada.
