PSB Owners

I have a question for owners of PSB speakers. Sound City has some great prices on PSB Image discontinued models, the 6T and 9C. I really want to pull the trigger on these speakers, but can not find the 10S's in black, anywhere. And I can't find the 2B's at all.

Sound City and DMC Electronics both have the 10S's but only in white, and that's a no go for it would totally clash with my theater. Neither place has 2B's. I've searched Ebay, I've searched Audiogon, I've even searched Videogon and various classified adds with no luck. So my question is this!

Does anybody know if I can pair the S50's or B25's with the 6T's and 9C without any problems/issues in performance or sound? My concern is the changes made from the 10S's and 2B's to the S50's and B25's.

Another Audioholic member 3db is also very familiar w/PSBs and owns some T45s currently. He's also been very helpful with his responses, so if you can hold off until he pops back online and see your post, he'll likely be able to help you out, assuming you don't get any assistance from PSB directly... -TD

yes, By all means go for it. My situation is the rverse of yours, I have a pair of 1Bs as my surrounds, an Image 8C as my center but ended up with a pair of Image T45s. There is no difference in timber between my speakers. All are spot on. So yes, jump right in there and get the new ones. Besides, the surrounds aren't as critical to match as is the mains and the center and I found no difference in timber in what i have. Good luck!!

I agree 100% with 3db. I have an all PSB setup. 6T's are my favourite "budget" floorstanders. You really won't notice a difference when incorporating those surrounds into the system. PSB makes a heck of a good product for the dollar imo. You have a darn good system on the way. Just out of curiosity did you notice the 7PT at DMC? I Love those speakers, if I had the room for those badboys there would be a pair in my setup.
