Anyone have any experience with this sub amp? Claims to be 300 RMS but does not specify at what ohm. Seems to have the same adjustments as a good powered sub.

I'm looking to power a SVS 25-31 passive sub with it. The price is decent and it's a local dealer, BUT, their return policy is not great (store credit or exchange only)
All input appreciated!

Why not email SVS, or check their web page for their amp specs and pricing?
A Behringer A500 can be bridged to drive an 8 ohm load with about 300+ watts @ $180.

I did contact SVS, they no longer offer amps for the passive subs. They recommend Samson, which are quite expensive here in Canada.
The Behringer model you mention I have also looked into, same price range here, between $350-400 CDN. and does not have the "sub" controls the PSB has.
This PSB amp sounds good, but I am waiting to hear from PSB in regards to the load at 4 ohms, the specs are scarce on the website to say the least.
They advertise this as an "in-wall" sub amp, could this possibly make a difference?

I'm a big PSB fan but the spec's on this are sketchy

to say the least. Is it possible for you to bring your sub into the store and test the sub amp?

I just checked out

Behringer site the A-500 list for 269.99 US and 289.99 CND maybe someone can give you a lead or direction for a on line dealer which sell for less then $200.00 US. Just a though?:)

Thank you for your replys, I'm going with the PSB CWA-1 amp. I found out it's BASH amp, labeled PSB for their in-wall series. 300 watts RMS into 4 ohms with lots of adjustments for in room eq. and less then $400 CDN. A little more then I wanted to spend but I'm hoping this will make my SVS into a foundation shaker (T3 demo time!!!)
Will report back when I receive it and run a demo or 3.:D
