PSB Alpha LR1 + Sub Question

I have a pair of PSB towers that my wife has deemed 'too big' for our newly redesigned living room. We have the TV mounted on the wall above the mantle and I'm considering buying a pair of PSB Alpha LR1s to put on the mantle next to the TV or mount them on the wall and buy a subwoofer like a TSC T250.

The speakers will be mostly for music and to better the TV sound not necessarily for HT. Anything wrong with that plan or any advice on a better approach? Thanks in advance.

Those sepakers were not meant to be placed against a wall. This will limit the speaker from providing a good solid stereo image and it will make the base sound a bit boomy and muddy. Try and negotiate to keep your towers. Good luck with this.
