Hi! a quick question. I hav a PS3 sending audio via optical to a PHILIPS HTS 6100 SOUNDAR. At the config, it says (bistream). On the HTS 6100 display, while playing blu-rays disc I get: DOLBY PRO LOGIC II.

Is this the best I can get from my current config? I read I will have superior audio over HDMI but unfortunatly my HT does not support it.

Yes, that is the best you will get. If you play an uncompressed audio track you will get PCM and it will be only the two front channels. If you play a dts-HD or Dolby TrueHD track, it should play as normal DD or dts, not as PLII. Make sure you have the sound bar set to "auto" not PLII.
