protection against ebay buyer protection

sellers beware: just lost $180 on something the USPS people broke and I didn't insure. Never mind he didn't opt to pay for it. Agreed to pay the cost back minus the $50 shipping and he accepted. Then after my money cleared he ESCALATED and is asking the remaining $50 shipping. Hes now paying ~$50 to ship it back to me to get his credit of $50. For those who dare sell semi-fragile stuff laying around the house, spring for the insurance. SMH.

I am shipping 90+ preorders from ebay from San Diego Comic Con this year (4k Profit) every item I am shipping over $100 is insured. It is just not worth the risk

Additional Notes:
- If you ship USPS Priority Mail, $100 insurance is included with purchase
- If you ship FEDEX or UPS same applies

Shipping Ebay via International:
ALWAYS use EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING as opposed to doing it yourself, not only is it a boat load easier, you are only responsible to get it to shipping hub for ebay and after they receive it, it is their responsibility to insure delivery and condition. MAKE SURE YOU PACK IT WELL. I am very anal with this and even take pictures of everything I pack as proof of condition.
