Proper amp for DT AW6500

Hi Everyone,

I have (2) DT AW 6500 in my back yard deck area. I’m looking for a better amp to power these. They seem very power hungry. I currently have a Sony STR-DH190 2 channel stereo amp that is powering them. I feel like the amp is under powered for these speakers. I believe the speakers are “rated” at 200 watt max. The receiver is “rated” at 90 watts per channel.

Anyone have any suggestions for a possible better set up so I can get the best performance for the speakers. Any additional questions please ask. Thank you!!

If the receiver isn't giving you the levels you desire, i think you may be expecting more from those speakers than what they will deliver. A bigger amp isn't really going to help.

I'm also thinking you're just reaching the realistic limits of those speakers rather than your amp and all a different amp might help out with is the going deaf thing
