Pronto Pro TSU6000 Remote Help Needed

I purchased a TSU6000 on ebay for less then $200 a while ago. The individual sold it due not being able to figure it out. Myself, thinking somewhat intelligent and interested in the capabilities of the remote have found myself in the same situation. I have researched and researched as much information I could find on programming this thing and am still confused. I've been to remotecontrolcentral.com and few other sites. Wow, I feel ignorant:confused: Does anyone have any resources or suggestions I could use. It's frustrating imagining it's capabilities and to see it collecting dust on my shelf...thanks

E-6: You need to go back to remote central. Your options are as follows:

1) Pay someone to program it for you, but then you'll have to pay them every time you want to modify it.
2) Learn the language for yourself. I spent 40-50 hours last year, and I am fairly well versed in Pronto NG, but there are some real wizards at Remote Central (Check out Daniel Tonk's stuff...it's amazing).
3) Buy the Pronto Guide. It is rudimentary, and meant for beginners, but it will get you going.

I went through the same thing last year when I purchased my Pronto. The Pronto is a sophisticated tool with a fairly steep learning curve (40-50 hours to become somewhat versed), and I don't recall the Pronto being marketed as a plug and play machine. I love my Pronto, with all the options it offers. I just purchased a Denon 2900, and will be augmenting the Pronto this weekend. In about one hour I will be able to download a selected program, and conform it to my needs...but this is after a 40 investment. Good luck, let us know what you do, and how it turns out.

Johnd-
Thanks for the information and laying out my options for me...
You had mentioned buying a Pronto Guide, would you elaborate (name of guide and where purchased). Also have spent a lot of time on remotecentral and have seen the lengendary Daniel Tonks work (amazing)--just at this point looking to crawl before I run.
Appreciate you replying and the info you have provided...

E-6: You're welcome. You can find The Ultimate pronto Guide here: http://www.prontowizard.com/ for $25.00. Again, basic, but it will get you going. I never purchased the guide, but I've hung around the forums enough to know it's helped many users. Read the guide, read the forums, dabble with different pcf's, and you'll get the hang of it...and ultimately find it rewarding to program the Pronto to do just about anything you want. Enjoy.
