Promedia 4.1 Subwoofer

Hello again,

I recently bought some Behringer 2030p's and an HK 3390. It's exactly what I needed. I also wanted a subwoofer, but don't have the money.

I discovered some subwoofers at my work that my boss said I could have, but it turns out that most (if not all) are dead. As a last resort, I brought a Klipsch Promedia 4.1 subwoofer home.

Is there any way I could plug it into my HK 3390 receiver?

Thanks.

From my experience with the Promedia 2.1's I dont think you can. The system uses a proprietary plug as the input for everything. I would recommend waiting for something to pop up on craigslist, or find a sub at your work that has standard RCA input plugs.

Sorry I couldnt have given you good news lol. For some more clarification, the promedias have a small control pod that goes underneath one of the satellite speakers. This is where the 3.5mm plug is connected to, which is then routed through the volume and bass control, which is then sent to the sub which contains the amp for the subwoofer and for the satellite speakers.
