No, Sergei didn't resurrect himself and start grabbing wine from my wine rack!
My gf planned on being home late tonight, so I just listened to one of my favorite CDs, "Prokofiev Plays Prokofiev." I hadn't listened to it since adding my sub, center, and surrounds. My gf loves classical music, but doesn't like loud music.
I like loud music, though I'd never listen long enough or loud enough to do permanent ear damage. That said, when my gf is away--and she often gets home late in the evening--I get to listen to LOUD music. I tease her about this sometimes, and she's fine with it.
I felt a cool thing while listening: I was drinking a glass of wine--I opened a bottle of Oz red tonight--while sitting on my sofa. I was in the center of all the speakers, and I rested my glass of wine on one sofa arm, and the sub made my glass shake. Yes, I was listening at near reference level.
I saw a resurrected thread a day or so ago about "20 Albums You Should Own, But Probably Don't." This is one I would recommend. But I'll add some of my must-haves to that thread soon--tomorrow, with any luck.
