Projector screen cabinet

Hi guys,

I need some ideas as far as building a cabinet to hold a 2:35 screen (acoustically transparent). The idea for me is to build a platform, perhaps 600mm high, put the front three speakers behind it (with considerable fiber glass insulation) the screen would fit flush, equipment would be situated below the platform area.

That's the idea. Are there any designs...of cabinets I could have a look at....any pics ? I just want a clean cinema look but I'm a little daunted with the details. I guess I need to see some designs before I can really commit one way or another but I have my little ideas in my head.

Any help would be appreciated.

I wouldn't mind a sketch or two to help understand exactly what your room layout is and what you have in mind.

A red flag immediately goes up for me when you talk about a theater and putting your equipment at the front of the room. The equipment, especially in front projection, should NEVER go at the front of the room unless absolutely required. Instead, it should be placed at the back of the room, out of the line of site. LED lights on equipment are extremely annoying in a front projection setup and distract from the experience.
