Against my better judgement I let my buddy talk me into going to see this movie. I am an adult, who will be hitting 40 in a few years, and seeing a movie about a bunch of High School Kids who discover time travel sounded less than appealing. I am here to state, that it met my expectations, which was not a good thing
My first clue, is that the crowd was about 90% pre-teen/teen. I thought at least it would be as good (or mediocre) as Chronic, but sadly I was mistaken
Plot has more holes than my target after a day at the gun range. High School Genius and nerd friends, some of which who are not that intelligent are able to figure out his father's time machine from the 80s and get it to work. Throw in the Protagonist's hot girl crush, mix in some time travel thanks to a Prius Battery and you have the makings of predictable teen movie.
There have been very few times that I was begging for a movie to end, but this one ranks up there. It was my own fault for letting my buddy talk me into this. At least it only cost $5.00 with a Groupon.
I am a big kid at heart, love the Marvel Movies, a huge fan of Sci-Fi, but I am pretty sure the younger pre-teen me would agree, this movie is just plain awful. I will preface again in saying I was too old to go to this movie and the first place and feel like I aged a lot more having to sit through it
