Programming the Yamaha RX-V665 trigger

I can't find any information in the Yamaha manual on programming the trigger output. I have a fan unit that accepts a trigger input on top of the receiver and want to program so that it will come on whenever the receiver is powered on. Anybody know how to set this up?

You don't need to program that trigger output. It should be powered whenever the receiver is on.

Thanks Adam. I was using a mono audio cable for the trigger and was getting no current whatsoever. I switched to a stereo audio cable and it works great.
