I have 7 Proficient IW625 in wall speakers in my theater and a def tech subwoofer. When I use the audessy setup from my 706 onkyo it sets the Left and Right front speakers a 70 hz xover and the center to 50 hz, side surrounds to 60 hz, and rear surrounds to 70 hz. Do these setting sound right? I would think that maybe a higher xover point would be better. They don't seem to have alot of bass resonse so I thought maybe something like 100 or 120 hz. Then I could just turn up the subwoofer xover to match.

Also are these speakers any good? I know nothing about them, they were here when I purchased the home. I thought of adding a satellite system instead or are these better than most satellite system on the market?

No they don't.

Not a bad idea, you might even try starting at 80Hz and go from there.

Are you referring to the knob on the subwoofer? If so, let the 706 do all the crossover duties. set the crossover on the subwoofer to its maximum position, or use the 'direct' or 'LFE' input to bypass the internal low pass.

Thanks for you thoughts, I was refering to the onkyo 706 for sub xover. It is set at 80hz now but can be set up higher.
