Processing: DVD-3910 or RXV-2500

For the best possible MOVIE sound quality, what should I do:?

Let the DVD-3910 process the signal and run analog out to the RXV-2500, or should I run digital out from the 3910 and let the 2500 do the processing?

Thoughts? Opinions?

The Yamaha receiver is designed to process and deliver the sound to your speakers. That's its job.

Your DVD's job is to transmit the sound tracks in addition to the Video. You tell it to do this in Stereo, DD5.1 or DTS.
