Problem with Yamaha RXV1600

I recently purchased the Yamaha RXV1600 and am having a problem with the HDMI pass-through. The source is an Expressvu 9200 satellite receiver which is connected via HDMI to the Yamaha and then using HDMI to a plasma TV. The problem is that after advancing the picture (commercial skip) or changing channels, the screen goes black for a second or sometimes a couple of times. When the satellite reciever is connected directly to the TV using HDMI, there is some slight digital noise in the picture when doing these things, but the picture does not go black. Yamaha says it's due to losing HDCP handshaking and having to re-establish.
Does anyone else with a similar setup have this issue? I am considering returning the receiver because of this.

HDMI issue

If you use a component video cable from the cable box to receiver and HDMI from receiver to HDTV then you should be fine. Also ask for a firmware update on the satellite box, there are a lot of them that don't meet the HDMI spec.

I've just purchased the RX-V4600 and was disappointed to find out that my
HD/DVR box is not copliant although it works directly through the tv, it has problems when I put the receiver in the mix, I guess it's a common issue.
and you can only up convert to Component, to use HDMI out you have to have an HDMI in source on the other end...I ended up using component in/out for my HD/DVR box and using the HDMI for my DVD player for the time being.
