Hello guys
Few days ago I got myself Yamaha MCR-755 (micro system) which I connected with my Sony
KDL-40R480B. Everything is working fine, sound is great, like I expected. The only thing I notice, and the reason I am writing this is this: when I turn lights in dinning room-sound on my speakers disappears for a second and than it comes back. There are no cracking sounds or buzzing, it is just like I mute sound for a second.Same thing happens with lights in my bathroom. Both lights are 12Volts, all the rest in my home are 220Volts. It only happens on those two on 12V.
Tv and Yamaha are connected via HDMI 1.4 which supports ARC and both tv and yamaha are ARC compatible. I have tried switching wall plugs, different ac cables- still nothing, its like small gremlin lives in my speakers
It doesnt really bother me that much, its just I bought it new (both tv and yamaha) and this tiny problem appears- I d like to know if it is something serious, something that will "kill " my system or lower its performance or "life"... I googled a lot past few days and saw many people have "same" problem (they pick up radio stations program or have cracking sounds on their speakers...)so am guessing it must be a common thing... So many of them talking about some stuff I need to "filter ac current, surge protectors,ups's..." I am getting more confused. My dad is Electrical engineer and he tells me that its not big deal (although he s quite old for this new age HD digital hdmi things...).
One more thing that confuses me even more is this: I disconnected HDMI and connected tv and yamaha with analog 3.5mm (tv audio out) and stereo cinch(yamaha) ((3.5mm to RCA)). I tried lights and nothing! Problem solved!???? I try fast turn on/off lights and sound muting appears... Completely confused...
