problem with onkyo tx-sr 803

I get a high pitch squeal from all the DSP modes except for Direct and pure. That likely indicates a problem with the dsp board.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Is it worth fixing? ie: how much?

Unplug the 803 power cable and wait a minute and reconnect and try again. If it still does it look in the owners book on how to do a system reset. You will have to run the Audyssey again. Most 803 issues are HDMI switching from one device to another. Pure direct does not use the processor so I was thinking a reset might help as it resets the processor.If you have do this odds are if all the HDMI cables are good the unit needs service.
