Problem with Harmony One and DirectTV HR24-200

I am trying to set up the Logitech Harmony One remote for my girlfriend's dad and I'm having a problem with the software. I set the same remote up on my system without any problems. When I add the DirectTV DVR it sees it no problem and adds it to the controlled devices list, but when I go to add the 'watch tv' activity, it tells me to add a device that can change the channel. What's the deal? It seems obvious to me that the cable box changes the channel. I'm confused.

Select PVR instead of set top box when you add devices. You can use another model, too. They all use the same remote. I just did a setup using the R22 as the model and it works flawlessly. I don't even know what the actual model number is but since it works so well, I really don't care.
