I have a problem connecting my dvd player and digital cable box to my receiver. The digital output on my dvd player is optical and the dvd input on my receiver is coaxial. I have the same problem w/ my digital cable box only the opposite (coaxial/digital). Is there any type of adaptor out there that will solve this problem? any help is appreciated

I'm pretty sure these converters can be found at http://www.partsexpress.com. I don't have the time to find the exact page, but if you look around I'm sure you'll find it. I think they sell for around $20 or so.

I would take it that the digital inputs on your receiver are not assignable, so why don’t you just plug your digital SAT box into the DVD input and your DVD player into your SAT input and just remember that. It sure beats adding two adapters that are not necessary [in this situation].

Now, why didn't I think of that? A little "out of thebox" thinking can be a good thing. Simpe solutions can replace otherwise complex workarounds.
