Problem setting up ZONE 2 on the Yamaha RX-V2400

I currently own the RX-V2400. I have attempted to follow Pg 73 of the manual for setting up the Zone 2.
When I get to step 3 I cannot get the remote to say L : AMP. The remote screen simply says what I am curently using, eg; cab/sat. I am trying to get my second set of speakers (exterior) to work. When I go into setup, and access the zone 2 from there, I select zone 2 amp ON, I can hear sound from the exterior speakers, but the level is low, and I cannot raise the volume. What am I doing incorrectly? And how can I remedy this?

No help for the needy?

No thoughts? Or ideas? Does anyone else own this piece of equipment?

Rx V2400 Zone 2

 After reading some other forums on this subject, and playing around a bit with the remote, I finally got it up and running.
While I CANNOT specify which steps I took, I'd love to, but don't remember, I can try to give you a few ideas.
First, in the manual setup, go thru the screens until you get to the options menu.
Select options.
Scroll thru until you get to the Zones.
Select Zone 2, and make sure it is ON.
Then on the remote look for the set of up/down arrows UNDER the little window.
This says "SOURCE".
Press these until the words ZONE 2 appear.
When you have the ZONE 2 in the window, go to the power buttons, ORANGE set of buttons top left.
Again, with ZONE 2 in the source window, press SYSTEM POWER.
On the MAIN SCREEN DISPLAY, on the amp itself, red letters should light up telling you ZONE 2 is ON.
That should be it.
Then select which source you want to play thru this zone.
BUT, there are certain signals that WILL NOT be able to play thru this source. I think they are the analog type. Check on this as I am not sure.
Few things to remember.
When you turn the amp on, (mine is not in use at all times while tv is playing, wife does not like the powerful sound of my system) make sure to turn OFF the Zone 2 when not in use.
Otherwise your neighbors will hear everything you are watching.
Imagine watching porn, while the sound is pumped thru your neighbors backyards. Then again, you may be seen as a GOD of sorts, if you can make a woman scream THAT LOUD to be heard that far!!!!!
LMAO.
Good luck
That is my input on this.
If I missed anything, and anyone can help further, please do.
Anyother tips from similar owners would be appreciated
Thanks
