Problem connecting a sub

Trying to connect a Boston Acoustics CR-400 powered sub (about 8 years old) to a new Marantz SR 5002. The Boston has 'Line Level In' Left and Right connections which appear to be RCA, and two sets of speaker posts. The Marantz has a single 'Pre-Out' RCA connection. Is this possible, or do I need a new sub? Thanks in advance for any advice to this newbie..

You can plug that lone LFE signal into either one of the sub's right/left line level inputs. It matters not, but sometimes the sub's manual will have a sugestion.

Or, if you feel funny about that, you can procure a "Y" connector with two male ends and one female ends and split the LFE signal between both inputs.

Or you can buy a new sub. Your choice

Most people do Markw's second recommendation ...

...and use an RCA type y-connector and connect your single Marantz sub out to both the left-in and right-in of your sub and you will be fine. :)

That is unless you want to upgrade to a JL Audio FATHOM f113. :D
