I recently purchased an Onkyo TX-SR602 frefurbished from Ubid & have used it only for viewing tv & movies. The other night I tried to listen to the radio tuner & had to break out the manual as I couldn't figure out how in the world to operate the unti via the remote for tuner functions. After reading the manual I was amazed that it doesn't mention at all how to operate the tuner via remote. I also noticed that the remote supplied model RC-588m is not the remote that should have come with my unit, Onkyo.com list remote model Rc590 as the one that came stock with my unit. My question is is this common for recievers to not be operated by remote for tuner functions, or do i need to buy a new remote & possibly this will alow me to operate it correctly?
Thanks, Chris

Welcome, Chris. Now we have at least two Chris here:p

I suppose whoever sold you the component lost the remote and got another one. If you can contact them ask about its lack of Tuner access. You should be able to use the remote to switch sources and change channels, or even tune it up or down. You may also want to enlarge the remote that comes with it and see what are the buttons on it.
You may need to get one:mad:

You must store your radio presets in memory first. Then you can use the channel up and down buttons on the remote to change stations.
