Can I use my 150 RMS / 300 MAX Watt Pro Audio speakers for my front left and right using my new ONKYO TX-SR508 receiver with no problems?

The 150 w RMS / 300 max spec just tells you how much power they can handle on a continuous basis and the maximum they can handle for a short period.

Neither spec is important for determining if your receiver can drive them. The speakers need to have an 8 Ohm impedance and reasonably high sensitivity (say 86 dB or greater). If the speakers meet that criteria then the receiver will have no trouble driving them.

they are 8 ohm... but i'm not sure about the sensitivity... what is the worst that could happen if they are lower than 86 ?

Not a problem. You'll just have to increase the volume a teensy bit.
But odds are, being "pro audio" speakers, they are rated way higher than that.

I ran 2 B52 MX1515"s with my Pioneer reciever for my mains for awhile and they were scary loud. They do get harsh though if your in a small room.
