Printed fabric to use on sound panels

I built some sound panels recently and have been trying to figure out what fabric to use... Caveat, I am using Spoonflower to do some custom prints. I did test swatches in basic cotton and satin. Cotton passes air better, but detail/color isn't as good. Satin looks much better, but is shiny and doesn't pass air as well. I didn't get a test swatch of the cotton poplin, but is probably a good compromise between the two.

Thread count:
Basic cotton - 78x76
Satin - 165x79
Cotton poplin - 133x72

Yep, looked at them. They charge by SQ FT, not per yard. So a 4x4 panel would be ~$160-ish. Spoonflower is significantly cheaper as they charge by yard.
