Primera Bravo II CD/DVD Publisher Review

When we were contacted by Primera to review the Bravo II CD/DVD duplication system we were reticent at first since this doesn't exactly fit within the purview of audio/video products. The more we thought about it, however, the more we realized that a lot of our readers have marketing needs for distributing their products and service brochures. As a result we decided to give it a look and use some of our own internal materials as test fodder. If your company makes CDs for marketing or product distribution, the Bravo II is a great time-saving tool. In terms of price, it should make money and quickly pay for itself in a short amount of time.

Clint:
Although I don't post here often, I have a lot of respect for you and the Audioholics site.

But following the logic above, you might as well review cars and toasters in the future also! :)

I've got the Bravo II in my home. I use it to copy CDs made from my church's worship services, weddings, funerals, and other events in the church. When I first got the Bravo II I followed the instructions by telling it to do a disk to disk copy. It continuously crashed over and over. After several slightly expensive phone calls to Primera tech support I still had the crashing problem. The tech support was ready to have my unit sent in to them for futher evaluation or repair.

Then I tried something that one of the tech guys told me not to do. I tried to make the copies under the "make audio CD" mode. Even though I was told this would not work, it worked flawlessly. I have made nearly 500 disks in the 5 months I have had the Bravo II.

Owner of original Bravo....

I own one of the first series of Bravos and run it daily in print-only mode, frequently with runs of 200 to 1,000 discs. Mine has been tempermental at times (remember though, it was an earlier model) but essentially gets the job done. Ink costs are high though (.60/disc with full coverage).

I'm not knocking the Bravo; I just thought it a strange review for this site.
